Backup and restore
- security
- availability
- on-line maintenance
|
Entis XL requires very little on going
maintenance. Like any information system the most important
task is performing regular backups. The user can only
determine the regularity; it generally depends on the criticality of
the system to the customer operation. It also has some dependency on
which features of the Entis XL suite are enabled on the system. |

Change dimensions
- single mouse click function
- view data in different dimensions
- real-time, on-line change
|
In the
global economy of today, and with the inter-trading of petroleum
products between different countries, the ability to view data in
different dimensions, at the press of a button, has become a very
desirable feature. |

Historical trending
- up to six tanks
- raw and calculated data
- data zoom feature
|
The
historical trending function is used to view historical trend data
over a time span for which data exists. Clearly the longer the
system has been in service the more trend data there will be.
The trend data files are generally relatively small but their size
is a function of the frequency of the data change. |

- for primary and reference data
- on-line
|
Normally,
tank data is collected from field instruments automatically.
Where primary data values are no longer available (e.g. due to a
gauge fault or similar). data values can be switched from automatic
mode to manual mode. |
|

Manual density
entry
- logging of manual entries
- separate application
|
Density measurement is normally
performed in a laboratory from samples of product taken from tanks.
It is quite common after receipt of product to have the density
measured by submitting a representative sample of the product to a
laboratory. The density is finally converted to a Reference
Density. |
