Econ-O-Grip^® Plugs
One of the major benefits of mechanical plugs over pneumatic plugs is mechanical plugs can be used in long - term applications. Unlike pneumatic plugs, which can lose air pressure over time, mechanical plugs do not use air pressure, resulting in a more secure seal.

Pneumatic Plugs
Single-Size & Multi-Size Muni-Ball^® Plugs

Muni-Ball^® Plugs work in all types of pipe - sealing the roughest surfaces. Made of natural rubber, these plugs are durable and corrosion resistant. Muni-Ball Plugs have a threaded aluminum by-pass. The by-pass allows air to pass through the plug during an air test, and can also be used to by-pass liquids.

UNDERGROUND APPLICATIONS

Cherne's Muni-Ball plugs are one of the most versatile pipe plugs on the market today. They allow sewer flow to pass through the plug via a pump hose, easily convert to an air test plug, or be used to block sewer flow.

Muni-Ball plugs 6" and larger come equipped with an eyebolt for tethering, raising, and lowering while using a poly-lift line; these Muni-Ball plugs also come equipped with a removable tire inflation valve, allowing them to be repaired or replaced with quick disconnect fittings.

The design of Multi-Size Muni-Ball plugs allows one plug to fit several pipe diameters.

Conversion kits are available to equip these plugs for sewer air testing. An accessory kit also allows conversion of these plugs to be used as a REMO^® remote placement plug.

PLUMBING APPLICATIONS

Cherne's smaller Muni-Ball^® plugs are commonly used to introduce air into a DWV System to conduct an air test.

The 11/4", 2", and 3" Muni-Ball plugs come equipped with an attached chain and ring handle. The handle may be used to carry the plug or act as an anchor to prevent plug from sliding down a line. The inflation valve on the 4" and smaller sizes is molded in and is non-removable.
