| Since the development of the first aviation fuel
coalescer in 1943, Facet has been
at the forefront of aviation fuel handling. Evidence
the number of “firsts” in the aviation industry including the
two-stage filter separator; Posi-stop fuel monitor; CIF cartridge; and API
1581, Fourth Edition, Category M-100 cartridges, just to
name a few. Facet manufactures a
complete line of products for the aviation industry to ensure that clean,
dry fuel is provided every step of the way - from the refinery to
the wing tip – including: micronic prefilters, clay treater bags and
canisters, coalescer and separator cartridges with both screw base and
rod-mount, water absorbent elements (monitors) and the patented Posi-stop
PS “-2” fuses.

SP Series Separator Cartridge
by Facet is a pleated
paper separator cartridge that functions primarily as a second-stage
water barrier in a two-stage filter separator system secondarily as a
final filter. Facet's distinctive
center tube design provides balanced flow, radially inward through the
cartridge. All metal components are treated to protect against
corrosion. They are available in 6" OD and six standard sizes from
11 to 33 inches nominal length with an outside inside flow. |

Clay Treater Cartridge The
primary purpose of clay treatment is to protect aviation fuel filtration
systems and jet fuel by removing trace quantities of surface active
agents (surfactants), color and additives commonly found in fuel. Facet's
specially selected Attapulgus clay greatly resists water saturation and
provides maximum surfactant adsorptivity and filtration area found in
clay treater cartridges. |

21 and 22 Series Filter Cartridges are
designed for Facet's 21 and 22
Series of compact multi-purpose housings. The cartridge provides long
service life and high solids holding capacity with no unloading
characteristics. the filter cartridge removes solids from aqueous
liquids. Cartridges are 6" OD with outside to inside flow available
in two lengths and three micronic retention levels 2, 10 and 25 microns. |

 |
M Series High Efficiency Pleated Paper Filter Cartridges
Facet's M Series are excellent for
removing solid contaminants such as rust, dirt, scale, granular and
other types of solids from fuels. Media with efficiencies throughout the
life of the cartridges are available to the aviation market in micronic
ratings of 0.5 to 15µ nominal. These cartridges can be provided with
either a perforated paper or expanded metal outer wrap if required.
These 6" OD cartridges with outside to inside flow are available
nine micronic ratings and in three lengths; single, double( X2) and
triple (X3).

|
|
 |
M Series Multi-Media Pleated Filter Cartridges Facet's
multi-media, pleated, extended area, depth filter cartridges are for
removing colloidal, slimy or sludge type solids from process streams.
These 6" OD cartridges with outside to inside flow are available in
0.5, 1 and 2µ nominal retention ratings in three lengths.

|
 |
CIF Series Crushable Cartridges by Facet
significantly reduce waste volume for used cartridges and provide high
efficiency removal of solids and contaminants from fuel. Media with
efficiencies throughout the life of the cartridges are available to the
aviation market in micronic ratings of 1, 3 and 5µ nominal. We
recommend replacement when the differential pressure reaches 15 psi. To
use the CIF Series cartridge requires the one time installation of
either a single, double or triple-length center tube kit. each kit
contains all the hardware and components required to convert any housing
fitted for 6" OD x 3½" ID cartridges. Facet's
CIF Series cartridges are available in single, double (X2) and triple
(X3) lengths.
Not recommended for filtration of potable fluids.

Wafer Repack Single-Stage Coalescers Facet
wafer repacks, used with Facet HP
Series Single-Stage Coalescer Housings, are excellent coalescers or
strainers for fuel applications when gross water contamination
conditions exist. Heavy solids or certain types of solids tend to either
blind off the surface of the repack media and/or compress only the first
and second wafers to the point that they will no longer function as a
coalescer. With Facet wafer repacks,
only the first two wafers need to be replaced when required while the
third and successive downstream wafers require fewer change outs since
they generally remain relatively free of solids.

I.P. Qualified |
21 and 22 Series Fuel-Gard® Monitor Cartridges meet
the latest edition of the Institute of Petroleum (I.P.) Specifications
and Qualification Procedures - Aviation Fuel Filter Monitors With
Adsorbent Type Elements. Facet
manufactures the cartridge with layered and pleated, multi-media
sections with inner support shells and an outer wrap. A special water
absorbent media retains water and the pleats expand. as the maximum
water holding capacity is reached, a reduction in flow occurs,
indicating the cartridge should be changed. The cartridge is available
in two lengths with outside to inside flow designed to allow less than
0.3 ppm (0.3 mg/liter) solids and less than 1 ppm of water in the
effluent.
